Our Mission

HSETrack was founded in 2021 by a team of health and safety professionals who saw firsthand how fragmented, paper-based processes were failing safety managers. Too many organisations were managing critical HSE data in spreadsheets and email threads — making it impossible to spot trends, ensure regulatory compliance, or demonstrate safety performance to boards and regulators. The tools available were either too expensive for smaller organisations, too complex to deploy without expensive consultants, or simply not built for the realities of daily HSE work.

Our mission is to give every organisation — from a 50-person construction firm to a global manufacturing operation — the tools they need to manage safety systematically, reduce incidents, and protect their people. We believe that great safety software should be accessible, intuitive, and built around the actual workflows of safety professionals — not retrofitted from generic business process tools. Every decision we make, from feature prioritisation to pricing, is guided by one question: does this help organisations build safer workplaces?

Our Story

The founders of HSETrack spent years working in HSE roles across construction, oil & gas, and manufacturing. Across those industries and geographies, they experienced the same frustrations repeatedly: incident reports stuck in email inboxes waiting for manager sign-off, near miss data that never made it into a trend report, compliance deadlines missed because tracking was spread across a dozen spreadsheets owned by different people. They watched safety managers spend more time chasing paperwork than analysing data — and more time managing processes than actually improving safety culture.

In 2021, they began building HSETrack as the platform they wished they had always had — a genuinely unified system for incidents, near misses, risk assessments, compliance tracking, and safety analytics. The first version launched to a small group of beta customers in the UK construction sector, where the founders had the deepest networks and the clearest understanding of day-to-day HSE pain points. Early feedback shaped the product rapidly: the mobile-first capture experience, the configurable workflow engine, and the plain-English analytics dashboards all emerged from direct conversations with safety managers in the field.

By 2023, HSETrack was live with 200+ organisations across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, having expanded beyond construction into manufacturing, logistics, utilities, and healthcare. Word of mouth from early customers — who frequently told us HSETrack had transformed their monthly safety reporting from a two-day manual process to an automated 20-minute review — drove rapid growth. Today, HSETrack is used by 500+ organisations across 40+ countries, with over 10,000 incidents logged and analysed through the platform. We are proud of that growth, but we measure our success differently: by the incidents prevented, the near misses captured before they became recordable events, and the compliance deadlines never missed.

Our Values

Our values are not a marketing exercise. They are the principles that guide how we build product, support customers, and make decisions when the right path is not obvious.

Safety First

We build for the person completing a risk assessment on a muddy job site, not just the safety manager at their desk. Every feature is designed around real-world HSE workflows.

Simplicity

Safety software should reduce administrative burden, not add to it. We prioritise ease of use over feature bloat — if a worker can't report an incident in under two minutes, we haven't done our job.

Transparency

We publish our pricing, don't hide behind sales calls, and design our platform to give safety managers the data they need to make honest, informed decisions about risk.

Continuous Improvement

We use the same principle in our own product development that we advocate for our customers' safety programs — measure, analyse, improve, repeat.

The Team

HSETrack is built by a team of 20+ engineers, safety professionals, and product designers based across the UK and Europe. We are a remote-first team, which means we hire for talent rather than geography — and it means our team has direct experience of the HSE challenges faced by organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions, time zones, and regulatory regimes.

Our safety advisory team includes chartered safety professionals (CMIOSH), environmental consultants, and former OSHA compliance officers who review every feature for regulatory accuracy. When we ship a new incident classification framework or update our RIDDOR reporting workflow, it has been reviewed by people who have filed those reports professionally — not just read the regulation.
